Marina Bowater has a background in linguistics, graphic design and painting. Educated in Russia, Japan and UK her work incorporates a wealth of different experiences and interests. 

 

She worked in a number of commercial design agencies before committing to oil painting. Her subjects of major interests are usually portraits, although she enjoys working across a broad range of artistic disciplines including landscapes, figurative and abstract. BA Graphic Design degree from London College of Communication and an earned membership in International Society of Typographic Designers provides a strong understanding of design process, colour and composition. 

 

Marina is a member of a small painting studio community in Chiswick who put on annual exhibitions in and around local area.
